テッポウエビモドキ Betaeus granulimanus Yokoya, 1927

千葉県のとある磯で採集しました。
よく知られているテッポウエビの音をならすことができません。
写真は少し加工してあります。

Betaeus属は16種報告されており、日本では２種が報告されています。

B. granulimanus Yokoya, 1927
B. gelasinifer Nomura and Komai, 2000


この2種は、第一胸脚の掌節で判別が可能です。
・掌節腹側に浅い窩がある。
・掌節表面に顆粒状の突起がない。
この2つの形態的特徴をもつのがB. gelasinifer となります。

B. gelasinifer もいつか採集して比較したいと思っています。
